Where the XT802E fits, and where it does not
Ruling out unsuitable locations first is faster than comparing specifications item by item.
Fit
- Main supermarket aisles and category entrances
- Beside shelves in pharmacies and beauty stores
- Customer guide positions on department store floors
- Self-service query points in government service halls and hospitals
Not suitable
- Store entrance display positions with large promotional video (choose 15.6-inch or 21.5-inch)
- Places that need receipts printed on the spot (choose the XTCM320 with printer)
How it differs from nearby models
Grouping models that differ only in screen size or operating system makes a wrong choice much less likely.

XT802E frequently asked questions
What is the actual housing size of the XT802E?
242 × 173 × 35mm. An early datasheet showed 243×73×35 in its specification table; that was a typesetting error, and this page plus datasheets dated after 2026-11 take precedence. The 878g weight refers to the main unit without the power adapter and stand.
How high should a 10.1-inch screen be mounted?
Set the screen center 1.35–1.45m above the floor so a standing shopper's line of sight falls on the upper half of the screen, with the scan window below it, just above waist height. For stores with many children or wheelchair users, lower the center to 1.15–1.25m.
Can the POE and DC versions be swapped?
Power is fixed when you order. The POE version runs on 48V over the network cable; the DC version uses a 12V adapter. Main unit features, screen and scan engine are identical in both, so choose POE where a POE switch is already on site and skip a mains run.
