XT802D frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the 8-inch and 10.1-inch models, and how do I choose?
The main difference is viewing distance and how much content the screen can carry. The 8-inch model suits a shopper who stands 40–60cm away and scans for a price; the 10.1-inch model holds product images, promotion copy and several lines of specifications, so it works at an aisle entrance where shoppers see it before they walk up. Mounting height is 1.2–1.4m for both. The larger the screen, the more room you need to leave for cabling.
What needs to be prepared for a wall mount?
The Z-shaped stand fixes with 4 mounting holes. On solid walls we recommend a plywood backing board or expansion bolts; on light steel stud walls, add a backing plate of 15mm or more before fixing. Cables exit from the back of the stand, so leave 30cm of slack on the network and power cables to make it easy to take the unit down for maintenance.
Can it read loyalty codes on a phone screen?
Yes. The imaging engine reads screen codes, including loyalty codes, coupon codes and payment codes. If the phone screen has a matte or privacy film, the read distance shortens; calibrate once against an actual handset during commissioning.
