Where the XT802C fits, and where it does not
Ruling out unsuitable locations first is faster than comparing specifications item by item.
Fit
- Supermarket shelf endcaps, narrow pillar positions in convenience stores
- Beside small shelves in baby, beauty and pharmacy sections
- Wine cabinets, cooler side panels and other positions with limited depth
- Positions that only need unit price and specifications, without large images
Not suitable
- Two people operating at once (the 5-inch screen has a limited viewing area)
- Places that need promotional video or large product images
- Places that need price labels or receipts printed on the spot
How it differs from nearby models
Grouping models that differ only in screen size or operating system makes a wrong choice much less likely.

XT802C frequently asked questions
Can shoppers read a 5-inch screen while standing at the shelf?
A 5-inch 720×1280 portrait screen shows the product name, unit price, specifications and QR code clearly at a viewing distance of 30–40cm. It is built for a quick scan to confirm a price, not for reading long copy from a meter away. If the mounting position sits further from the shopper, choose the 8-inch XT802D or the 10.1-inch XT802E.
There is no outlet at the shelf. Can it run on POE?
Yes. The XT802C has a POE version that carries power and data over one network cable at 48V input. When you retrofit shelving, no separate 220V run is needed; a single Cat6 cable from the telecom closet to the shelf is enough. The site switch must support POE, or a POE injector can be added in between.
Can it read payment codes and loyalty codes on phones?
Yes. The engine is designed for both paper and screen codes, so QR codes and payment codes on a phone screen can be read. At very low screen brightness or with a privacy film applied, the read distance shortens. Calibrate the engine exposure once against the actual screen brightness during commissioning.
